Description
Groundwater, geology and energy are deeply interconnected through the physical structure of the earth, the flow of fluids underground and the technologies used to extract or store energy. There are direct connections between water supplies (both surface and ground water), wastewater treatment, geology, and energy. This class will review some basic geology and how groundwater is produced from geologic materials. The interactions between energy and water resources in our area will also be explained.
