Description

The class begins with the violent history of Brunckow’s Cabin located just east of the San Pedro River and south of Tombstone where between 1860 and 1890 about 21 men were killed.  Tucson’s first marshal Milton Duffield was among the 21 plus Ed Schieffelin, founder of Tombstone and Frank Stilwell who was implicated in the death of Morgan Earp spent time there.  The second session continues to look at iconic images in Tucson including the Teatro Carmen in Barrio Viejo, art on the Luis G. Gutierrez Bridge, Streetcar stops, the Mormon Battalion Statue, the Earp and Holliday statue, Larcena Pennington, the Stork’s Nest and Ghost Ranch Lodge.
