Description

America’s entry into World War II awakened the world’s sleeping industrial giant which expeditiously and dramatically tipped the contest to the Allies.  America not only outproduced Germany and Japan in quantities of aircraft, tanks and ships, but manufactured them faster and cheaper.  The course segments explore how the U.S. Britain and Germany financed their war efforts and examine narratives of political, military, business leaders and workers winning the war thousands of miles from the combat zone.  The course delves into details and nuances of economic policies, manufacturing techniques and output and the American leaders, executives and workers who created the war winning system and built the needed war goods.
