Mark Schwartz is a retired Air Force Lt. Colonel with 1550 flying hours in the F-4 Phantom and was embedded in Army units for close air support duty. His bachelors is in political science from Ohio State (also a distinguished Air Force ROTC graduate) and has a masters in WWII studies from ASU. He currently heads the SaddleBrooke WWII Roundtable, has taught at the SaddleBrooke ILR, the Oscher Lifelong Learning Institute and Pima Air Museum. A resident of SaddleBrooke for 11 years, he enjoys hiking, astronomy, music and model railroads.

Description
This course examines Russian strategies for establishing power over Western Europe, potential European and American responses and how outcomes from the war in Ukraine may dictate future courses of action. It will compare historical events with current political and military issues and explores new scenarios of war and peace that will chart the future for Russia, Europe/NATO and America. Topics include:
