Richard Schneirov is a retired professor of history from Indiana State University where he taught for 33 years with other teaching assignments at the University of Frankfurt (Germany) and Ohio State University. He has lectured and published on the Civil War-Reconstruction Period.

Description
This class will examine Abraham Lincoln through his words and his leadership in America’s greatest crisis. It includes these topics: American Slavery and the Rise of Abolitionism, Lincoln’s Views on Slavery, The Impending Crisis: 1820 Missouri Compromise to the 1856 Dred Scott Decision and The Civil War: From Fort Sumter to Appomattox.
