Description
Glass has been used for thousands of years as a visual arts medium. In Tucson for 50 years the Sonoran Glass School has provided a venue for glass art workshops, exhibits and individual glass making. This tour will provide a history of glass making, visit to the Flame Shop (torchworking), the Warm Shop (kiln-firing), the Hot Shop (glassblowing) and the Sculpture Garden. You will examine the tools, learn the techniques and observe an exciting glass blowing demonstration.
