The 1930s was a period of rapid social, economic and political change in the United States. How did these events affect American society? This course will examine these changes and discuss how that decade continues to relate to our lives today.
Weekly topics: the Great Depression and the First New Deal; the Second New Deal; Eleanor, Minorities and the CIO; Radio and the Movies.
Presenter: Jim Williams is an experienced ILR instructor and recently published Oro Valley: The First Fifty Years.
