Description
The Alfie Norton Gem and Mineral Museum, now located downtown in the restored county courthouse on Church Street, was founded on the UA campus in 1885. It houses an amazing comprehensive and varied collection from all over the world. With an expert docent we will tour three sections: the Mineral Evolution Gallery which traces our human origins through rocks, the Arizona Gallery dealing primarily with copper, and the Gen and Mineral Gallery. Lunch (optional) afterwards is at La Reforma.
