This course will describe the difference between Varietal and American Viticultural Area (AVA) wines, the elements of wine tasting, and how to understand the shape and label of vintage wine bottles. An introduction of wines produced in the United States including California, the Pacific Northwest, the Finger Lakes and Arizona will be described and tasted as well as several European wines.
Presenter: Bob Landis, a Sun City resident, spent eight years in France and has a certificate of teaching from the Academi du Vin , Paris, France. Class size limit: 20
