The campus arboretum is a unique collection of plants and trees from arid and semi arid climates around the world. It came into being when the University was founded in 1891. Our Master Naturalist docent will talk about these arid adapted shrubs & trees plus share information about the history of the University itself. There is walking involved but there are places to perch and rest at various points along the way. Lunch follows at Baccio Italiano on campus nearby.Trip leader: Alice Hutchison [email protected].
