1. Inequality – Jim Williams

Is economic inequality growing in the world? In the United States? Is the American middle class shrinking? This class will explore inequality in historic eras and today. We will examine the liberal and conservative critiques of this contemporary issue, as well as inequality’s impact on politics and society. Suggested solutions proposed by experts will also be discussed. A list of suggested readings will be provided. The class will utilize lecture, PowerPoint presentations and discussions to examine the issue of inequality.

Jim Williams is a retired high school teacher who has taught extensively in the ILR.
